I just added a way to resize rows in Yon - hope that's helpful!

Here is yon: nightfall.city/shore/m15o/yon/

it's a little UI to take notes, all contained in a single .html file. It reuses ACME/Grid's layout (mostly) but goes deeper on navigation and exploration.

Hope you like it!

@m15o this is so cool, thank you!

i've tweaked mine slightly, because i wanted to try to make it work from something like a mobile phone. i've replaced mouse events with pointer events and made resize thingy slightly wider, so resizing columns now works. but i'm not sure how to make clicking links work...

Here is Grid, the ACME-inspired text-editor I've been building lately: nightfall.city/grid/ Hope you enjoy it :)

I also did a quick peek video:

@m15o I was just toying around with Merlin which is an "esoteric stack-based editor".

So, very excited to see someone else exploring this space. Also like that it's a bit closer to a typical text editor. Gonna be giving this a try right away :tia_pog:

@m15o I love it. Amazing! I kept thinking that perhaps I'd like to write an editor, but would I use Forth with it, and should it be C or not, and have SDL or terminal, and … and you have it all, already! Love it, thanks!

Here is a first version a Nex, a tiny protocol inspired by Gemini and Gopher. I am sure there are a million things I haven't thought about yet, but it's been really fun to build. You can download nova, the GUI browser at nex.nightfall.city. Reach out if you want to have some space! #theWorkshop

Here's lipu.li, a little online wiki engine.

It reuses ideas from git.sr.ht/~m15o/ni, and is inspired by the incredible work of @aw on flounder.online and @neauoire's wiki.xxiivv.com

Hope you like it!

@m15o excellent! do you have a link to source? Also the “Manual” link is broken

Here's tny.m15o.net/, the latest iteration of me writing little virtual consoles!

Here's Bitters: a text editor heavily inspired by the Canon Cat. Been heaving loads of fun building it. m15o.net/bitters/ #theWorkshop

@m15o the source appears to be private in sourcehut, or at least I'm getting an error when switching to the source tab.

@m15o this is amazing.

I suspect it might need some tweaking to handle Macbook's hidpi screen and stuff.

Still, this is damn great!

@m15o FINALLY someone made it. I'm so glad!

I can help with macOS testing too. I can also help with testing rendering Cyrillic fonts, if your editor supports them (I would love it did).

welcome to the kiosk @keet! Looking forward to reading your updates

Important HTML Journal change: <h2> should now be used instead of <h1> to describe an entry title. Find the rational here: m15o.ichi.city/site/h2-instead

Support for <h1> is still kept for as long as needed, but don't forget to update your journal whenever you can. :) Apologies for the change, I feel it's a needed one.

Melyanna

@m15o @neauoire @felix @ritualdust I think this is a good change! I prefer it this way as it makes the structure of a journal more... structured from a logical perspective, with headings and subheadings.

Funny that’s what i did intuitively initially to respect hierarchy, then realized it wanted h1

@m15o I was just setting my journal up today, used the feed validator and the message appeared between one test and the next haha

m15o

Just added your journal to the kiosk, @melyanna! Excited to have you. :)

@m15o the kiosk is one of the first thing I check in the morning <3

m15o

Here's the Neon Kiosk (kiosk.nightfall.city), an ordinary looking virtual kiosk that distributes HTML Journals (journal.miso.town). <3 #theWorkshop

@m15o That's so cool I'll format my now page to fit with the format and submit my journal :D
