The problem with capitalism is that if you aren't born into wealth your only capital is your labour.

So automatically your human body is now a commodity that you must sell and if you can't sell it for enough you won't be able to care for it and will lose your capital.

@yogthos U.S. spends 10 times more on its military than China, and 50% less on education, and that's awful, I totally agree. But uh... "Discretionary" spending is only 30% of the USA's budget. The other 70% go to Social Security, and Medicare. And rich fucks at the Federal Reserve.
