@iska I know exactly the issue you are talking about and the answer is "maybe". There are ways to get around the hellthread issue by implementing MRFs to drop thread after a certain number of replies.

I do want to run a few different frontends, but there also is a very recently new stack called akkoma which tries to address some of these performance and maintenance issues.
