better concept for the Minecraft movie:

person installs a realism mod into Minecraft. stuff looks uncanny in game, similar to what we see in the movie trailer

but then they wake up in the middle of the night to find the face of a creeper looking in through their window. slowly, over the course of the movie, more and more of the game gets brought to reality, as they need to figure out how to stop this realism mod from converting the entire earth.
