@TodayInTwitter #Twitter was partially down this morning worldwide. Search and trends showed no results, and both the “For you” and “Following” timelines were completely down. Posting did work, but nobody other than you was able to see your posts. At 1:45 a.m. Eastern time, the website came back online fully. Total downtime was much over an hour.

A fun question is how long will it take until there's a newspaper article about twitter being down. Random twitter comments would popup through. It was basically the twitter show. Wild turn around.
