I didn't know that the creation of the Ltd. from Gitea resulted in the creation of a fork of the project.

I knew about the open letter to the Gitea Ltd. people, but that was all I knew, until this morning.

More there: https://gitea-open-letter.coding.social/updates/

Husky is at the EOL.

Reasons: I have other priorities in my life and I don't have time for Husky anymore.

Whomever wants to keep working on the app, the code is there, issues are between the original repo and sourcehut's todo tracker.

This week I'll release Husky 1.3.1 with a couple of fixes :ablobcatbongokeyboard:

Also, I'll update the F-Droid version, I promise :nkoNotLikeThis:
Adolph

Tomorrow I’ll release Husky 1.3.0.

After this release I’ll review what’s pending and will add a couple more of things.

For example, I’m working on a new emoji picker to react with custom emojis (Akkoma) or Unicode emojis (Pleromal), or both. Also, edits. ETA: soon(tm).

As always, report stuff using the mailist.

Quoting this post by @ilja, Husky is still maintained and I’m going to make some changes into the app to add stuff like edits, filtering the timeline properly, a new push notification provider, among internal improvements to improve the performance, and more stuff.

People should remember that FOSS maintainers are persons too. With feelings and that kind of stuff.

As you know, I use SourceHut as the platform for Husky development (and other projects).

@amolith provided me an email address a long time ago (thank you again, man :BlobhajHugFullBody:) that I use to send emails. And not only for SourceHut, but also for a public email (https://adol.pw/contact).

If you happen to find looking for an email provider for contributing to SourceHut projects or to have a public email address:

https://mailbox.org

https://migadu.com

Or, if you're looking for a free provider:

https://fedora.email

Those are only a few, there are more, but the important part is the client (plaintext and width-wrapped to 72 characteres are the mail etiquette by default). There, I can recommend:

(neo)mutt + emacs/vim/vscodium

Claws Mail

Thunderbird

(The last two should allow you to setup that kind of configuration, although I don't know if it's in the client itself or by account).

Hope this helps somehow :ablobwave:
