Oh, I almost believed you. Then I found out your source code is on GitHub. Sorry, but if you are serious about your mission of openness, you are on Codeberg or Sourcehut.

@bonfire @brembs @UlrikeHahn @jorge @open_science very interested to see where this goes. Pushes all my (good) buttons.

Very excited to be implementing rich widgets to display other types of #ActivityPub objects in Bonfire. Here are a few examples showing activities federated from @peertube @pixelfed and @mobilizon.
What types should we implement next?

At present, #bonfire discussion page lacks any statistical data about the thread, a feature that is pretty common in most of social networks or forums. These platforms typically display a total count of replies, boosts, likes, and participants ....

Take Discourse as an example, a platform with a great UX for productive conversations. Discourse displays the list of links shared in a post and provides a statistical box that details thread engagement. This includes also an approximation of the time required to read through the entire thread, if significant.

Join us in testing comments and discussions in #bonfire!
For the next 2 weeks, we're honing our focus on fixing and improving any aspect of this core feature, and we would love to do it together with our community. Let's collaboratively craft a space that fosters both lightearted banter and profound discussions.

This is kinda silly but can you share a high-resolution copy of this image? It's really cute.

Great news! We've just updated our playground instance at playground.bonfire.cafe πŸ’₯
New release comes with a nice amount of bugs fixed and UX improvements based on community feedbacks (thanks 😘) .

We've also introduced our flexible boundary system...

@bonfire Wow!

Y'all keep pushing the boundaries of federation and are an inspiration to me and others.

Don't get me started on your ridiculously beautiful website and UI, nevermind your brilliant strategy of low key becoming the perfect platform with your extensive plugin/extensions architecture.

Kudos, like really, you're the complete package and I hope the fediverse gives you the attention you deserve! 😎

Today, the Bonfire team is excited to announce our beta release πŸ”₯πŸŽ‰

We’re aware that Bonfire still needs a lot of work - like ensuring it federates as expected and improving configurability, accessibility and user experience - but that’s the point: we decided to launch at this stage with the intention of building the 1.0 release as a community.

New blog post on the upcoming #bonfire beta release: bonfirenetworks.org/posts/beta

"In a few days' time we'd like to invite you to experiment with a 'playground' instance of Bonfire, the federated social networking toolkit for communities. Lots of what you'll see in the Bonfire beta will be recognisable from other social and/or federated apps. There is some functionality that may be a little different with Bonfire as well."

"We're now days away from the beta release of Bonfire, a federated app toolkit. When beta users get their hands on it, however, they might be confused: wait, this looks like just another microblogging app! haven't we already got enough of those?"

πŸ“£ We're happy to share w/ the fediverse our new website:

We tried hard to communicate the vision and the motivations that nurture bonfire ecosystem. We also included new technical guides to setup and configure a new instance, to play with it or contribute to the development.
Any feedback is welcome :)

Very exciting to see what you're cooking up to help #collaboration, #coding and the #Fediverse all play nicely together! Thrilled to see that you're collaborating with @forgefed, too!

Are #caldav task integration and use of #tags anywhere on the road map?
