To ppl who join Fediverse because of Twitter or whatever, donβt leave, give it a chance. a lot of people i see join, use it for like 3 days then leave once any threat related to Twitter was mitigated. Iβm rly happy I stayed, made a lot of friends here, had actual discussion here, plus less toxicity! Anyone who is new, give it a chance, stay, I believe youβll like it :)

I think part of the problem is people don't like "starting over", having to rebuild a following list takes time and effort, vs. that twitter feed they've built for over a decade, you know? I always tell folks, "Patience & follow liberally!" @mcalel I think it's neat, having trouble finding people with common interests though. Got any tips?  |
