@janneke Woow, can’t believe Mes not only has Guile-style modules, but also all these actual modules—heck, even (ice-9 i18n)?! Great work, comrades!! Feels like we’ll soon be able to run Guix build scripts on Mes… GNU Guix/Hurd now runs on my x60 (32bit) with full disk support (rumpdisk) and networking support (netdde). Patch sets are underway. Looking into native guix builds right now.

pretty cool! I like how one can choose to run GNU with different kernels right from the grub menu! Yessss! GNU Guix/Hurd builds with rumpdisk, a major step towards running on real iron! * https://issues.guix.gnu.org/63641 or download this image https://dezyne.org/janneke/c2f2lpvfp05pw2isihgbwx6f1b1l0hwh-disk-image.xz @janneke This whole multiboot setup with a user-level disk driver is so elegant! It’s unbeatable. If you run "guix pull" today, you get a package graph of more than 22,000 nodes rooted in a 357-byte program---something that had never been achieved, to our knowledge, since the birth of Unix: a Full-Source Bootstrap. #GnuMes
