I remember watching an episode of Stranger Things, where they're in i think it was a hospital and the lights were flashing wildly. I don't have any photo medical issues, but even that I had to look away as I felt light-headed and honestly thought I was gonna pass out.

I can't imagine how some of it is for people with such real medical issues. And saying crap like this really pisses me off.

They've now adjusted the article and the author apologised. Hopefully lessons will be learned by them and other Kotaku editors on this.

@gamingonlinux have to agree, Kotaku won't learn.. they will just wait awhile before doing it again

@gamingonlinux Was the original article text also hostile/unfriendly about the addition? I know in many publications the article title and leading text are chosen not by the writers, but by the people designing the lead page and stuff. In other words, it's quite possible that Kotaku was just click-baiting people into rage clicking. Which is a shit practice, but given that people expect news and games writing to be free, and thus ad funded, it is a sad consequence.

@gamingonlinux accessibility is the greatest thing in modren gaming. Too many people take it for granted.

@gamingonlinux Yeah it's not a good thing to shame others for being afraid or not being able to tolerate things, after all, people often fear fake stuff on a daily basis e_e
