Gregory's Server@neil 15 years ago was right in the middle of its descent into bloat and poor performance, so not sure I'd agree on that side of it.
It's absolutely superb now, though.

@harry_wood @neil yes me too - I left in about 2008-9 for chrome, then in about 2017 started looking for non Google browsers before trying Firefox again in about 2020 and not looking back. |
@jbstans @neil Yes I remember firefox getting hopelessly slow. I came back to it a couple of years ago. It's fine now.
