PSA: If you're putting a link in Mastodon, please include the https:// part so Mastodon turns it into a clickable link. I see a lot of artists promoting stuff on itch.io who fail to create a clickable link.

@grumpygamer Maybe links are counted as 23 characters (Illuminati 😱) and itch.io links are probably shorter, especially without the protocol.

On the other hand I like the fact to post ridiculously long links, which only account to 23 characters.

And don't use link shorteners. It hinders to see where we land, and in Mastodon every link has a fixed lenght. No matter how long the original one is. So you do not need to save characters by using shorteners. (something around 20 chars)
