@ifixcoinops
I got a Brother printer, which does what it's supposed to do.

@mike @ifixcoinops that article mentions the 2750 which I have. Probably the most reliable since my dj500 which looked like a plastic fort @smallsees @ifixcoinops I currently have the one in this paragraph "We only bought that one to replace our previous Brother laser printer that we lost in a move, and even then, I didn’t even look at the model numbers. It has been connected to our Wi-Fi for like six years straight, and I have never replaced the toner." No idea what the numbers are. It's just always there when I print something. @mike @ifixcoinops never replaced the toner because it doesn't dump half a cartridge of toner each time you occasionally use it to clean the jets, unlike pretty much any recent Epson inkjet @smallsees @mike @ifixcoinops my last inkjet (before I bought a Brother laser printer!) was an EPSON, and it was in fact my last inkjet ever for this reason. Sure, my printer has a "waste toner" bucket, but I highly suspect that it's there to keep excess toner out of the printer instead of serving as a mystical place where all my expensive consumables go. |
@smallsees @ifixcoinops still can't believe I actually got to meet this superstar in person!
