Would this attract your eye with interest if you saw this cover on a shelf?

@neauoire Have you tried larger text size for title and 100R maybe? Bit hard to see when i tried to stretch the image to physical book size @neauoire absolutely, but it would be even better if the title was a bit bigger. The font is quite thin and my hypermetropic eyes would have trouble reading it on first try @neauoire yes. And a more apocalyptic font would help. Came across this nice selection today https://www.design-research.be/by-womxn/ @neauoire ahhh yes I knew there was something you published already. Maybe this will help re-kindling my will to read paper books again... 😊 Curious to see the printing quality of Lulu this time - last time I got something it was "Somebody knows Shoes" by _why (awesome "alternative" programming btw), and it was OK. Not amazing, but not too bad either. @h3rald it's pretty variable, we've seen some amazing copies of our book, but also ones where the binding's glue dried up and the cover separated. We're super happy to see the positive feedback on the cover, we'll do a couple more tweaks, and.. I guess, we'll finally move to release Wiktopher! @neauoire love the contrast of scale and the path of the eye as you realize how large the creature is. if there was more of a pronounced gradient in the background, with the very top of the sky being somewhat darker, it might help the title text pop more, along with the (snowflakes? raindrops? grain?) texture of the sky. |
@neauoire totally!
