@narF @cblgh Why not learn things as you need them? You can only benefit from that.

I could have taken my jacket to that shop for a repair, but it costs a LOT more than if i do it. And then I know how it works, which is kind of cool :).

@rek Yeah of course. I did learn and now do small clothing repairs myself.

But its ok to not have the desire or energy to do everything ourselves. And trade small work in exchange of other small work (ex: you fix my jacket and I'll fix your computer next time you need)

@narF Of course, ppl dont have to learn if they dont want to, but offloading sewing work is kind of a luxury (by that i just mean paying money at a shop for a repair, not exchanges).

Having ppl you can rely on for small work exchanges though is real nice~
