Does anyone have a reliable market share data for browsers?

StatCounter is a terrible site.

Would be interested in numbers for desktop, mobile and combined.

Just a note that @Vivaldi will not show up in the stats as we have to hide our identity to be able to use certain Google and Microsoft services.

If you have access to some major site data, please share.

@joe @Vivaldi , yes I had found that one. A bit unsure about the details there. Not a lot of information about how many sites and pages are included and no indication of number of users, just share of pageviews.

@jon They have never been super transparent with their methods. But they do own a ton of access points at this point that makes me think they have enough to make some good guesses.

@joe , the point is that there is a lot of easy ways to get stats like this wrong.

This is, however, a nice source to add to the list.

@jon @Vivaldi It is not technically possible to determine reliable figures. It is possible to determine the browsers used per website, but even that is not always reliable. I think that the user numbers are published by the browser manufacturers on the basis of telemetry data.
