 @IdahoLark Do the thing where the hole is in the bottom and you suspend it so the squirrel has a pumpkin head.  @IdahoLark I wonder if it's possible to carve a hole right where it will give the pumpkin an awesome squirrel-tail comb-over or mustache   Why not put nuts inside, assuming squirrels prefer nuts to pumpkin they may eat those instead.  @IdahoLark I remember someone who spread peanut butter on pumpkins to encourage the eating and the results were horror movie quality lol @IdahoLark I wonder if you tried a design that only scraped the surface (rather than one that goes all the way through the meat) whether that would confuse the squirrel (like that witch's eyes? https://www.bhg.com/halloween/pumpkins/how-to-etch-a-pumpkin/ @davidpwhelan I think that it would still be too tempting for a squirrel, especially since they can smell the "fresh meat" from a scraped surface. They are such little sh*ts. Draw on a design of Rump's face with Frankenstein stitches. Make sure to do a zipper stitch around the top that seems to open on one side. Then, around the drawn opening of the stitches, cut an impression through the orange skin and fill it with peanut butter. Then let the squirrels to the rest.  @IdahoLark Our neighbor does this, which would sure look amusing with a squirrel involvedβ¦ @davepolaschek Ha ha! There are those gnarly ones of a pumpkin giving birth to a smaller one, but I can't bring myself to go there.  @IdahoLark omg these are gold, I hate that they are so cute yet so destructive in my garden π |
