@jeffowski You know though I think it does seem to happen? I've watched my parents turn so hard right that they now repeat GOP propaganda verbatim and don't even know they're doing it. I had one person who was a friend for something like 10 years become so far right I couldn't stand listening to them hate every single thing any Democrat ever does anymore and just had to leave. Another friend took a similar turn, even voting for trump instead of against Democrats in this most recent election.
