I was helping someone study for their exam recently and there are multiple components and steps in the process that we did not even know about in 1980.

@carl @zappes @GreenSkyOverMe @SmudgeTheInsultCat Yes, Iām not that old. š I think restriction enzymes were discovered in the early 1950s and their ability to cleave specific base pair sequences was demonstrated about 20 years later. @ic3ix Arber got a Nobel Prize in 1973 for the discovery, if I remember correctly. @zappes @GreenSkyOverMe @SmudgeTheInsultCat |
