Gregory's ServerI meant the friends thing somewhat sarcastically as a way of showing that there was more context than just the search warrant. It's not like police said "give us any DMs where people talk about abortion." They had a specific target because others talked to the police (and as you say, the crap law.)
As for forgiving teenagers, that is for the girl and her mom. I'm not a psychologist, but I won't be surprised if the young lady has some trust issues in the future.
