Gregory's Server@shepgo Our app loads new posts in really fast. On our server it can load 2000+ posts in a few seconds. But it is possible busier servers like mastodon.social will slow the rate/number at which you can get new posts down which would make it take much longer. We will have to make improvements if that is the case.

 @shepgo Yea most people don't like it that way. The way we do things has been a huge selling point of our app when it was based on Twitter. But there are more potential issues with it here on Mastodon as not every server is the same. We will make improvements to it. |
@ivory Before I subscribed to Ivory one thing I liked about apps like (the now unsupported) Metatext was an instantaneous jump to the most recent posts, with a divider-notice down a few dozen posts at the point between the newest posts and the previous refresh, with a button to load the next-oldest posts.
