@SebinNyshkim @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 nobody complained about “reddit enhancement suite” and i couldn’t go a day without hearing a redditor tell someone to use it lmfao @chirpbirb @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 There's also me using an adblocker to hide the dreadful "Trends" section because it's all rage bait and sadness. Without that I get exhausted within minutes of even looking what's trending @SebinNyshkim @chirpbirb @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 I had to use Control Panel for Twitter to get rid of garbage and have the chronological TL on that place. No one batted an eye when I said I was using that. People get weird about extensions for stuff they're not familiar with though. Like it's not an uncommon thing, you're just getting antsy over needing something extra for something new. @KingDeadWolf @chirpbirb @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 Unlike with corporate social media where they'll just do as they please and you as a user just have to hope and pray they're gonna be implementing something that pleases you, you can actually go to the developers and ask for features. I just can't fathom how that's like not a huge benefit in people's minds? You can influence where all this is going. You have AGENCY with this Meanwhile people be like "Nah, I'd rather be miserable" hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… @SebinNyshkim @chirpbirb @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 I've had to scold friends who don't bother using an adblocker for YouTube. Like it's right there, you don't have to suffer for a minute or more with crap you don't want to see. "Naaaaahhhhh!!!" @KingDeadWolf @chirpbirb @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 gaaaawwwwddddd the unwillingness to even lift as much as a finger to improve anything about anything. There's nothing that quite infuriates me more than this 😵 @SebinNyshkim @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 the day I found tweetdeck was the day I stopped being able to use web twitter so... Yeah, considering at the time it wasn't owned by twitter. I get though yeah, it's not perfect, it's not super duper polished with millions of $ invested but... Yeah. At least, it's our thing, furry servers are by furries for furries and we can just be ourselves >.> @SebinNyshkim @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 agree, i also don’t mind dealing with the quirks of mastodon because it’s open source and i can run it myself @chirpbirb @SebinNyshkim @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 T–6 days :blobfoxsnugowo: @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 I get that! Fediact is limited to just making so you don't act from a certain server on specific other servers you list @Nomaxice @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 @Nomaxice @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 It's Graze and yes, it does allow account switching. I only have one, but use it to avoid needing to paste back into my instance here for stuff. @KingDeadWolf @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 There's the name! @Nomaxice @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 The only real annoyance I've seen is having to turn off rich link previews cause it was just flooding threads if links showed up a few times. That and turning off alt text being displayed under images was all I adjusted. @Nomaxice @Tiwy57 @chirpbirb I addded my instance's search URL to Firefox's search engines. Now I just drag a link to the search bar, click the correct icon (which is admittedly still slightly annoying), and it's done :)

@Nomaxice @chirpbirb @Tiwy57 I bet then their argument becomes "why do I have to use an extension for basic functionality"
To which I'd reply "The same is true for the bird and there it's considered essential to make the damn thing pleasant and usable in the first place"
