@mntmn @system76 I think that's basically unpresidented from a Laptop manufacturer and a big step for open source in general, what I love most about it all is that they uploaded the design to Github under a license comparable to the GPL!

@mntmn @system76 Interesting, I don't really look for ARM devices anymore because Linux still kind of sucks on them in my experience but that's awesome to hear, I definitely have to take closer look at your project!

@mntmn @system76 The Pinebook Pro's SPI scared me off for good and devices without one face different issues but I might check out some ARM device from another manufacturer after a few more years in case I can affort it.

ahoneybunn - Always on 🐧

@gamey @mntmn the Pinebook Pro is actually nice to use **once** you get an OS installed and have Towboot of course.

@ahoneybunn @mntmn My SPI broke out of nowhere so mine didn't even last two months, not gonna buy from them ever again!

@gamey @mntmn @system76 The Pinebook Pro SPI is a bit scary, but I managed to unfudge my Pinebook Pro SPI by shorting out some pins, it could have been easier but it was at least do-able.

@Baggypants @mntmn @system76 I shorted the shit out of mine but couldn't get it to connect to another machine even after countless attempts :(
