I’m convinced it’s a literal campaign to deter people. I almost bought it too, but then some helpful soul on the birdsite posted a YouTube video explaining how to sign up and I watched it and was like- wait… there’s literally just one extra step of choosing an instance… duh… 😅
(I am NOT in any way tech savvy.)

@ReneeWestberry @lowqualityfacts exactly the same on my end, this is how I felt about it too! The way they’re describing it, you end up thinking it’s some technical process when it’s just register and go and everyone would manage!
