@davidrevoy the blur almost looks like a watercolor 👌

@davidrevoy I love these painting-and-subject juxtapositions because they show how the artist interprets reality.

Also: somebody said Saint-Malo? Cool! One of my favorite stories has important scenes taking place there.

Watercolor is so tricky because the tracks are irrevocable, and unlike ink, they are transparent and can't be covered.

One brushstroke and that's it, no going back like you can with acrylic or oils. No other medium like it in art.

Maybe sandcastles?😂

@GordonIsenburg Yes, watercolor is probably a nightmare for perfectionists. The pigments rarely dry the way one wants, especially on cheap paper, with wind, sun, and outside in the "heat of the moment".

It requires a lot of improvisation. The famous "happy accidents" (they are rarely happy in themselves, but by adapting the next stroke it's possible to twist a bit and make them 'happy').

Weird I like that in holidays. On digital, I'm really at opposite! 😆
