The boat left this morning. As they pulled in their stern-tie rope a knot somehow formed at the end and they couldn't get it out. In this bay, there are chains bolted into rock, and ppl pass their stern-tie rope through a chain loop.

By then, tide was too low, and getting to the knot to free it from the chain loop wasn't an option. They tugged at it for 5 minutes, then... put a knife to the rope.

Not sure these people enjoyed their stern-tie experience XD...

To simply own a boat, no matter if expensive or inexpensive, doesn't make someone a boat person, just like a beefed computer doesn't make the owner a hacker.
