@jerry @HamishMack In medicine, this is called a Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jarisch%E2%80%93Herxheimer_reaction), seen shortly after you hit a spirochete infection with antibiotics -- they generate a lot of toxins while dying, causing an inflammatory reaction (or so goes the theory).
