ok there is a file called words.txt containing Casuarinaceae a few more that didn't fit lol: anyone recognize this logo from anything? I wonder if this is related to any of the federation features "Soon, you'll be able to follow and interact with people on other fediverse platforms, such as Mastodon. They can also find people on Threads using full usernames, such as <b>@%1$s</b>." found by @w Instagram Threads contains: FediversePromiseViewModel_init_userNotFound "Can't find user in UserCache with id=" found by @Rairii So for anyone who had any questions about whether they plan on slurping up your data if we federate with them. Here it is in the flesh... wondering what these icons mean, the app is called Threads so I wonder if they are focusing on the ability to spit threads. "IGDogfoodingAssistantAddDogfooderMutation": { Instagram Threads contains the text "This website might contain harmful software that is designed to steal information such as your passwords, credit card details and more." and I don't disagree "If you have a public profile, people on or off %1$s can follow you at any time." another clue as to it being federated outward early on. Aaaaand now Threads is listed in both app stores as launching in 2 days Jean-Marc Denis, Design director at Meta, Messenger, Instagram (and I am guessing Threads) posting anti-protest rhetoric and then announcing Threads as his next post... [Metaβs decision to launch Threads pits it against other companies also trying to lure users away from Twitter with alternative social networks. Mastodonβs open-source decentralized model, which was founded seven years ago, saw a large influx of new users in the immediate aftermath of Muskβs Twitter takeover.] the site is live: https://www.threads.net/@zuck noticed some bugs when you click the back button it shows that the profile is private @liaizon far left - antijew stuff π dat man is crazy π€ͺ @liaizon thatβs an awfully shiny splash page (for an awfully icky network). @liaizon not sure if you saw the second post there as well, it confirms the domain they'll be federated on (hardcoded in the dex bytecode): https://haqueers.com/@Rairii/110645315091243151 How dare you speak to me like that! No seriously itβs logical that theyβd have a bad-language detector but not actually store the bad language while developing. You donβt want people to have to see the n-word etc. while working on code. Iβve seen other systems where they store the bad words in ROT13 for the same reason. @liaizon words.txt is from https://github.com/cglib/cglib/blob/master/cglib/src/test/resources/net/sf/cglib/util/words.txt Itβs test data for sorting algorithms, not sure how it ended up in their app @liaizon interestingly those created at times are from February 10th 2017. not sure why such an early date, unless they just created one out of thin air. @waynedixon its a folder of json files of "test ads" that the app would need to support as far as I can tell @liaizon great to see the political ad option there π (sarcasm) On a serious note though, I wasn't expecting anything different. The same way Tumblr will keep their ads when they integrate with the fediverse @moralpanic not that I expected differently either but its good to have some more solid confirmation they are the enemy @liaizon @moralpanic |
