I know there is a need for this, and a group that is trying to organize something like this.
Nothing against them, but I think I can built a foundation for this myself without bureaucracy or countless meetings, and then hand it off to them or a trusted fediverse entity.
Iβm all for collaboration, but sometimes itβs better to go alone and then release an MVP instead of trying to organize a project with many devs who canβt decide on what lang or code style to use.
@dansup Here here. If Nissan and Tesla had waited for a socket standard before releasing any cars, we'd still have no electric cars. π
Sometimes you just need to crack on and, if your implementation turns out not to be the standard, just refactor later.
