Btw, I care a lot about safety, Pixelfed is the first AP project that allows users to disable comments, DMs from people you don't follow are hidden by default, and we support shared blocklists and several other features! I've closed registration on pixelfed.social several times, randomized the pixelfed.org/servers directory and mobile app onboarding. I'm hellbent on ethical and sustainable growth. This is so badly needed on mastodon and other fedi servers.Do you support comments control too? Like deleting a particularly annoying reply instead of completely disabling comments?  @lanodan We may have our differences, but I do mean it when I say I'd love for us to work together. I think he would provide a lot of valuable insight into how we can improve our safety and moderation tools, and I hope he considers it. Regardless, it's crucial to the success of our projects to grow and evolve based on a diverse user base, and you have to challenge yourself and push beyond your own bubble for that, I think it's worth it. @dansup Constructive criticism is totally fair of any open source product, but I just can't wrap my head around how people can be so harsh about the people that are just trying to create alternatives to apps run by untrustworthy corporations. As a dev wanting to get into fedi/AP it's incredibly demotivating. Well, keep up the good work! It's been cool seeing progress on everything you're working on!  @dansup How is the Pixelfed iOS app coming? Apps are the main way that people access services.
