I’m so sorry for anyone that had to do actual office work there. Can’t be ergonomic. But if it’s a library or a place to have som good food and a beer, have at it. @Gargron Looks gorgeous. But not necessarily comfortable. Is there a recliner and place to put my glass of wine? 🍷 @Gargron Looks like a great place to do some deadlifts. Oh, you didn't say "work out here"? @Gargron John Rylands do a behind-the-scenes tour as well; I got to do that long ago - it's a nice building! (My old, pre-mastodon photos! https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipPaXdZ1ozIO1Nhtd8gb5_wfUDdbHqKuxkUxZZea ) @Gargron For the love of #books & #reading, here’s a new volume for your #library 📕 #video #bookstodon #inspiration @bookstodon #writing #WritingCommunity #saturday Damn that’s a nice little library space. There is a public library with similar vibes around here, I need to go pop my laptop open in it more often. @Gargron I've been there a number of times, incredible building. I saw a magic lantern show there once. Honestly, though, it's too dark, the chair is hard, the table is too low, there's a distracting side light glare, the whole room is cold, damp and drafty, and you're constantly dodging tourists "ooh"ing and "aah"ing your place of work. Been there, done that. Give me a functional 80's office building any time. @Gargron I know, librarians already have the dream job, now it gets even dreamier!! :owi: @Gargron I once got to study at a library something like that, the Berenson library at I Tatti in Florence. It was so beautiful that I found it a little difficult to concentrate. What a nice office to have, free from people's crowded mind. And when you go out after awhile to take a look around you know you don't miss much, human social activities are easy to catch up. 😅🤪😂 |
@Gargron really makes ya think, doesn't it?
