@kidehen @simon How limiting... It makes artists feel unwelcome. Our art is part of us... something we want to share. It is as natural to our human form as the shape of our hands or the hair on our heads. Even if people are not interested in my free pattern site I still enjoy the sharing of my work. It can also be denying someone else a grin.

@AppalachianCrochet @kidehen @simon I would love to boost your happy snowman! But I can't as it has no alt text. 😞

I had my finger on the boost button of the lovely snowman too. It's definitely worth re-editing this with alt text.

@ProjectFearlessness @Homebrewandhacking @kidehen @simon I try, I do better adding descriptions for actual photos but my crochet work is hard for me to add context to in a way that fully describes what one is seeing/not seeing.

It is difficult. I'm the same but I stumble through, hoping giving a really poor idea of what's going on is bettet than no idea at all.

@ProjectFearlessness @AppalachianCrochet @kidehen @simon it's actually really hard putting pictures into words but even the basics help.

@AppalachianCrochet @kidehen @simon I have no clue what alt text is. Do you just type those words before you post something 🤔

Appagal Crochet

@JasperJenkins @kidehen @simon Alt text is describing the picture for those who cannot see well but use the forum. I struggle when it comes to describing my own crochet items... it never reads well.

So when you post a pic try to leave a description of what is in the picture allowing them to create the picture in their mind.
