Gregory's Server@pixelfed What is so amazing about stories that disappear after 24 hours (comparing to stories that do not expire)?
I understand that the only difference is that you have to rush to your smartphone/computer in order to "not miss" the story before it expires. This encourages more use of digital screens - or you will have a sense of missing out (i.e. advancing Fear Of Missing Out, #FOMO, among people).
@chlopmarcin @pixelfed it's commonly accepted to put less effort into stories. Eases the internal perfectionist's grip.
It's a common problem on photosharing websites, that one should only post quality shots there 🤷♂️
