@Gargron I don't think what Reddit execs are doing will be a death blow for the site. Sure, it'll drive a good amount of power users away but there will most likely be more then enough casual users to keep the site afloat. Reddit execs would have to do something like make site access subscription only to drive away casual users.
(By "casual users", I mean those who don't know/care about 3rd party clients. Those who use Reddit to get a quick sports update or something and nothing more)
