Gregory's Server@tomxcd ask me about my SCO Xenix or ESIX. Ran those until I found out about Linux in the early 90s. My boss at the university read about one of the BSDs getting open sourced and free, and we installed that. Of course there was Minix - and gave that a spin. Good times.
@tomxcd I believe my first distro was Slackware. Ah, the joys of rebuilding the kernel for drivers.
