Or do I have to have two subscriptions? @ivory is there a way to have the iOS icons as .heic files so we can use them as alternate icons on the Mac? I'd love to have matching icons 🥰 @fantinel We will look into our options for alternate icons on the Mac after launch. But worst case we will probably provide icon files you can download and change yourself. @ivory that'd be sweet! I've never seen a Mac app with icon options so I'm not sure if it's possible, but I use Pictogram to change them (and automatically persist on updates) @fantinel A lot of apps outside of the app store do it easily. It's a bit trickier for app store apps.  @ivory Gotta tell ya I hate that we can no longer swipe a media to close it. I enjoyed the animated way that pics swooshed out of the way. Why did you change this? Now you're really no better than the other apps. @ivory have been using Ivory. It’s great. Would love to see better support for posting video - recognize when video can’t fit and offer options to shrink or trim to post size. Right now video posting to Mastodon is a very frustrating hit or miss proposition involving extra apps and lots of guesses if one fails. @gallaugher That's a hard problem to solve, unfortunately. That feature alone is probably a whole app's worth of time and work in itself.  @thecarlfrancis Yea that might be a bug. I've noticed it on occasion too. I clicked on the link to update, updates, and the new version welcomed me back in the very same post, but now I had access to the new media viewer/alt-text viewing… thanks!  @ednl Free is just a demo mode with very limited features. Basically Read-only. Pro and Premier offer the same features and is just a matter of how much you want to support the development of the app. You can test the full functionality of the app by subscribing and then immediately unsubscribing. That way you get 7 days to try the app and won't get charged after the time limit is reached. @ivory Looks great! @ivory is there a way to restore the black background for media? Matching the image is often annoying to me more than helpful, makes it harder to see where the image stops. For example this one you shared becomes a low-contrast mess. This is how subscription apps in the App Store have to be. Something Apple needs to solve for the App Store. @bigattck We are doing just fine. Apple doesn't make us charge a subscription just as we don't make you use our app. If there are 10 other free mastodon apps out there, you shouldn't be telling us that we need to make our app free. We will probably have some sort of solution to clear them all out once we know the bug is fixed.  @ivory Can you comment on adding post language support in Ivory? I ask because it‘s not on your roadmap, so I wonder whether it‘s a lot of work or something that might just sneak in with one of the next minor updates. @stephankleiber Unfortunately our current compose window isn't designed for all these extra features as Twitter didn't need them. So we plan on redesigning the whole compose view which will have a lot of new mastodon-specific features. It's on our list, but it's going to be a huge project to take on. We just haven't put it on the public roadmap yet as we want to focus on the ones already on there. @ivory Oh I can’t do my favorite pastime anymore: grabbing a photo while in media viewer and trying to spin it while I swipe it away. The old one was so responsive (although slower because of the animation). Also the new one blinds me when I open a tiny cropped light image while in dark mode and the whole screen turns white. Can’t say I like that aspect.   @ivory You took the GIF right out of my mouth - eagerly waiting to add hashtags to lists and RT. Would slipping you a six-pack work on you guys as well as it does on my DM? 😏  @ivory I would presume those on TestFlight should just stick there, as eventually new builds will come? @btaroli Up to you! But yes generally Testflight versions will get new features first. If something is really annoying or buggy on the testflight version, you can always go back to the official version. @ivory oh no it’s been working great. Just wanted to understand expectations. @ivory Still a terrible user experience when sharing content from other apps on iPadOS. Too expensive for what it offers. @ivory Nice! Love some of the color themes on Tweetbot. I wish they are ported to Ivory. 😢 @ideimos just have to swipe down now. Our theme system is completely different than Tweetbot. However we do plan to add a tinted color bg in the future. @ivory I know, it’s the animation what I miss. By the way, could be my color blindness condition but this theme felt like home.  @ivory not a fan of the new video player. The controls appear automatically for a few seconds when I start a video (obstructing the video *every time*). We've been hearing complaints about it for many years now.   @paulk_ No, we don't have timelines for anything as we work on features until they are good. Sometimes it goes quickly, and sometimes it just takes time. But we are working through our publicly posted roadmap on our website. @ivory But I loved the old version of media viewer, too. @ralphflaneur Double tap, then swipe down. 🙃 Trying to close a zoomed image is more of an edge case. Don't think a lot of people zoom in on every image they view. @ivory ‘Read position saved in local and federated timelines’ Would like a way to disable this for these timelines specifically. It’s not a huge inconvenience but I do prefer the old behavior. That said, if I’m the only one who ever asks for this, don’t waste time implementing it! 😂 I can adjust to the way it is now; just wanted to voice my opinion. But I was confused about the different behavior between posts with a single image (controls hidden by default) and multiple images (controls visible by default).
