@guiltmanager @inkscape @rysiek if it's Creative Cloud, weren't they always subscription based?
Hoping to see @pluralistic take on it, as I see him quoted in the article, but I'm sure there's a trend here that he's got the receipts for, as everything moves from the ownership to the rental model.
Except FOSS, which needs subscriptions the most, in order to provide some continuity as the maintainers have lives to lead.
@craignicol @inkscape @rysiek @pluralistic not sure to be honest, I simply assumed that if adobe is saying you'd be sued for using an old version then the old version must be licensed, if its subscription based, like office 365, surely the software would simply stop working if you cancelled the subscription.
