@CliffWade some folks just don't understand that these are just phones and operating systems. Use what you like and be happy. No reason to start annoying fanboy wars... That was not even cool 10 years ago.

@CliffWade @m12k I'm not a fanboy and Android has a lot of problems, but I can't stand using iOS. Feels like I'm renting a device from Apple that was designed by Fisher Price. I just can't do it. Plus, if you're a FOSS enthusiast, Android is the place to be. @jcrabapple @m12k I personally disagree with the design aspect of iPhone's. I feel they are solid devices that are very comfortable. I do agree that if you are more on the FOSS side of things, then Android is certainly the place to be over iOS. @CliffWade @jcrabapple iPhones are designed very well (and so are Android flagships and even mid-rangers). What I personally like about the devices (software aside for a moment) is more choice (aka Foldables). I also don't have a problem with the ecosystem as I use Google services anyway (also on iPhone). The only thing that stays is my MacBook Pro. @jcrabapple @CliffWade @m12k "Renting," for me, is more like an "opinionated device and experience". At this moment, I don't mind subscribing to that. |
@m12k I totally agree. The fanboy thing has never been cool to me in any way.
