@m12k I totally agree. The fanboy thing has never been cool to me in any way.

@jcrabapple @m12k I personally disagree with the design aspect of iPhone's. I feel they are solid devices that are very comfortable. I do agree that if you are more on the FOSS side of things, then Android is certainly the place to be over iOS. @CliffWade @jcrabapple iPhones are designed very well (and so are Android flagships and even mid-rangers). What I personally like about the devices (software aside for a moment) is more choice (aka Foldables). I also don't have a problem with the ecosystem as I use Google services anyway (also on iPhone). The only thing that stays is my MacBook Pro. @jcrabapple @CliffWade @m12k "Renting," for me, is more like an "opinionated device and experience". At this moment, I don't mind subscribing to that. |
@CliffWade @m12k I'm not a fanboy and Android has a lot of problems, but I can't stand using iOS. Feels like I'm renting a device from Apple that was designed by Fisher Price. I just can't do it. Plus, if you're a FOSS enthusiast, Android is the place to be.
