@fediversereport realizing I may not understand how apple app store ads work, cause someone from out of the US is saying that TikTok is showing up for the search fediverse too. So maybe somehow the word fediverse is being generalized by the ad algo to mean social media app. and then these apps are just buying space for searches related to social media? I have no idea just thinking outloud. don't want to spread conspiracy if its actually much simpler
