I'm skeptical of anything to do with VR or AR being done by an advertising agency that has a software development wing. I don't know why anybody who wants to build cool things would work there.

But even beyond that, AR or VR is in the same realm as jetpacks and flying cars. Optics are super hard and it's one of those problems that has been a few years away from being solved for thirty years now. AR/VR isn't a software problem, heck it's not a traditional hardware problem. There's a ton of compromise involved and making a headset truly compelling for consumers is going to take small miracle. And that's without putting a stick through your owns spokes at every turn like Facebook seems to want to do.
