@atomicpoet no, they still don’t let it. is irritating on Instagram (among loads of other irritating features) - “link in bio” 🥴 @Malditopelirrojo @pixelfed There's an Import from Instagram feature. See screenshot. Don't know of a tutorial, though. @atomicpoet @pixelfed I’m really looking forward to joining. I just haven’t had time to spin up an instance and if I’m going Fediverse for photos I want to continue being self hosted. @atomicpoet @SummerKnight @pixelfed Hi, you can find the Android link on https://pixelfed.org/mobile-apps ! @Stark9837 @pixelfed Last I checked, it was something like 30GB with back-ups included. Thants nothing. I have more storage for my #3Dprinter. Abd they say #selfhosting is not possible. @Stark9837 @pixelfed To be frank, I used to host peerverse.space on Digital Ocean via Cloudron. But I have since migrated to #SpaceHost, which is a fully managed host that @reiver and I are building. |
On a practical level, I prefer @pixelfed much, much more than Instagram.
This is because I prefer what Instagram was back in 2012—but with some big improvements.
For one thing, you can put active links in posts. Last I checked, you couldn’t do this on Instagram.
