It's the same BS that Google created when they turned the shift for SEO to the amount of time you spend on a page instead of using the link text. Now we have *so much* "content marketing" that's usually out of date and probably incorrect, all in the name of improving your search engine ranking. Just because people engage, doesn't mean it's worthwhile.
Case in point: daytime talk shows, especially the likes of Jerry, Maury, and friends.
