 @atomicpoet @abogical yea I’ve seen it too, just algorithms. I countered with the value of providing better filtering and sorting functions client-side instead of bringing black-box algorithms to the fediverse, and they hadn’t really thought about that. It seems for some, they’re so accustomed to an algorithmic feed they don’t see the point of something more direct like here. Or, they’re techy people into rec systems and haven’t thought through the implications. |
@abogical To be fair, I have heard a few people complain about lack of algorithms or company-driven curation. But I'm fine with that. The Fediverse will never be all things to all people.
