@caseynewton I see this as a lot like Spotify getting into podcasts. The die hard, early adopting nerds will avoid it on principle. So it’ll be up to meta to attract big enough names (a Joe Rogan of tweeting) that normies who don’t know or care what activity pub is are willing to use it. Honestly sounds possible if the product sands off the decentralized network sharp corners. A lot of Twitter (sports and celeb for example) haven’t jumped yet.
