@koko Reboot like normal VIM users

Efi (nap pet) 🦊💤

@koko speak up and say "colon Q exclamation mark enter" and pray something happens?!?¿!??

nano

@koko i already rt'd this on twitter but i'm boosting it here because i still love it

T0╳F01Æ

@koko
You just press...

oh wait!
oh god!
there's no keyboard!

I guess you just accept your fate then since there is no escape.

Maybe it will exit on it's own when the battery dies?

Sylvia

@koko Okay, so, is this like... an edited image? Or a picture being displayed?

I know it's a meme but I'm curious because I used to run AsteroidOS on my LG G Watch and I could use vim through SSH (nowadays I use a Bangle.js 2 which doesn't seem to have vim, sadly) 😅

Reggie Huizinga :35mmil1:

@koko How do I enter this? Was joking this week that I want a mobile that just has a bash shell for ui.

stux⚡

@koko Waaahh! How d you install? :ed_grin:

I NEED THAT!

Massa 👽 Humberto

@koko it literally is written in the screen text how you exit. ;-)

Gabriel Pettier

@koko more importantly, how do you upgrade it to vim 9?

Jeff Noxon

@koko the same way you exit nano on an iPod nano?

Kyle Johnson

@koko @stux Pretty sure you throw the watch into the ocean and buy a new one. Or maybe you turn the crown clockwise a quarter turn, then click the button, then the crown 3/4 turn counterclockwise, then click the crown, then 1 1/3 turns clockwise, then hit both buttons.

JoeChip

@koko
You don't. The wristband has now locked itself. The device has sunk tiny tendrils to access your nervous system.

The rise of Parasitic AI has begun.

Tim Ward ⭐🇪🇺🔶 #FBPE

@koko Could be worse. Could be Word Perfect with a completely blank screen (apart from the flashing cursor) and no clues at all as to how to exit from it.

Out of Control :laravel: 🇨🇦

@koko that’s awesome. In case you were serious :q if you can figure out how to type that. How’d you get vim on your Apple Watch?

Jordan de SoCal

@koko 10 seconds in the microwave will take care of it

Ariane :btfly: Noxie

@koko .... time to open it and find if there are PS/2 pins somewhere on the chip I guess :ablobcatsweatsip:

Lennart Petersson

@koko sorry but, 😂 First time I see vi editor on an Apple Watch. But I have no idea of how to exit without a keyboard 🤷

Moritz (Glgnfz)

@koko Go north. Go west. Pick up axe. Smash watch.

ko 🦊🌸

"type :q or ZZ"
"it says it on the screen"

okay. cool. I don't think it has any of those keys

Freja (freja)

@koko simply plug in a keyboard to the PS/2 port on the back

🚲

@freja @koko what a shame it’s nigh impossible to find a PS/2 keyboard rather than a USB one nowadays

Robin Syl 🌸:blobcatreach:

@koko it's voice activated. say "colon queue" out loud

Sora5084

@koko Maybe chew on it until an uart becomes visible? :blobcat_thisisfine:

ENIGMATICO :heartbleed:

@koko@yiff.life > Can't press :, or any key

Can't turn it off
Can't take off the battery
Yup. You're screwed.

helge

Bluetooth keyboard. But why exit? It's time to do some coding. This is the perfect time to attempt implementing a clock in vimscript.

jamesp@SDF :sdf:

@koko You have to exit the terminal and restart it. You're stuck.

DELETED

@koko i wonder if porting iVim to the Apple watch is doable. you could always do something to have a working keyboard, maybe even using speech-to-text

RobJLow

@koko Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Pontus

@koko be glad it's not a primitive old editor like 'ed'.

Chief TWiT :twit:

@koko Do what everybody does to exit Vim. Reboot.

inj4n

@koko maybe attach a keyboard via bluetooth?

4d3fect

@koko
Unbuckle strap

Drop device in nearest bucket of water

Anthony Dardis

@koko whatever you do, don’t type shift Z

Andy

@koko Welcome to the hotel VIM, you can check in any time you like…

ffScala

@koko @leo The new Apple Watch beta looks cool👌🏻

timmitra

@koko I usually close the Terminal window. #PSA 1. Press the Side Button
2. When the list of open apps appears, swipe to the left on the app you wish to close
3. Tap the Close App icon that appears

Go Up
