Top-level
Dr. Maddkap, Werepsychologist

You feel a headache starting to build between your temples. Excusing yourself, you head for the bathroom. But before you can get there, you pass another executive heading for the meeting. This time, a tall woman with long hair who radiates confidence.

You awkwardly stumble into the bathroom, splashing water on your face, certain you must be losing your mind. You recognize the woman from the news. Diana Prince. And her number was an 11.

It takes you some time to come to terms with the realization that your power is probably permanently broken. But, it never was much use to begin with.

You manage to finish out the day at work, and head home.

Sitting in rush hour traffic, you pass one of your company's chemical storage facilities. The place is a mob scene. Smoke, police, ambulances, and multiple news crews.

As you pass a police officer, you ask what happened.

You learn that the Justice League found out that your boss was secretly developing weapons of mass destruction. As traffic moves on, you actually catch a glimpse of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

You freeze as you see the numbers over their heads.

Nine, 10, and 11.

Suddenly, it all makes sense.

The meeting with your boss. The weird numbers.

Bruce Wayne is Batman.
Clark Kent is Superman.
Diana Prince is Wonder Woman.

You start to sweat. You flip your visor down, open the mirror, and stare at your reflection.

And watch with horror as your own number changes from two to eight.

@drmaddkap Very cool! Thank you for sharing this story! :D

Ysegrim

@drmaddkap I like that the story will get even more interesting given that you know your CEO is not dangerous enough to build WMD (or you would have noticed)…

Dr. Maddkap, Werepsychologist

@ysegrim Good point. Maybe the CEO was a 5 or 6, and you figured it was because he was rich.

@drmaddkap Thank you. The story held its grip. Knowledge can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Why does wonder woman have a higher threat level than super man?
