@nazgul I can't access Movetodon today. But Debirdify is still working. I just did a final check and found a couple of people I hadn't already followed. I assume they (edit: the sites like Movetodon and Debirdify) will all be blocked (edit: by Twitter) soon.

@nazgul Starts with charging for a tick, then turns into blocking journalists, to just shutting down the API with no notice, to putting API back but with a fee. At this point, any one still using that site needs to ask themselves why they are still there and, the most important question: what is the next feature to be a paid feature? Images? GIFs? Tweets beyond 140 characters? Yep! That’s a great site/app to keep using!

significant problem: when twitter started banning mention of Mastodon apparently lots of people removed the refs.

600+ previously, vs 50 today.
