@rafiki @minecraftchest1 @openrightsgroup Social media damage is well known and documented. Eating disorders, suicides, election interference, terrorist radicalisation and more. It's past time the law catch up and hold social media to basic safety standards. From what I've read of this bill, it's still rather weak but a good start. I'm not going to be put off by a 25sec frenetic video and hashtag. 2/2 @rafiki @minecraftchest1 @openrightsgroup Not clear where this bill gives the UK gov *any* power to "scan". Seems all requirements are on the social media companies. Open Rights - care to respond? You're looking like an AstroTurf. |

What in the bill is outrageous, specifically?
Open Rights doesn't say in their dramatically edited, scaremongering video. This seems highly sus - just the kind of AstroTurf crap I suspect Facebook and other tech companies are funding to prevent accountability.
