@gamingonlinux I might be missing it, but out of box, it doesn't look like you can have an hdmi plugged in AND the deck display going at the same time. @gamingonlinux Low sleep/off battery life. I would expect it to stay charged for weeks when not in use. @gamingonlinux I'd like for it to be easier than it is to upgrade internal storage. Also, move games between SD and internal while doing other things. @gamingonlinux That and it would be cool if there was a better way to connect to KDE connect in gaming mode, but if that were to happen I would more expect it from Decky than Valve That's all that comes to mind atm but i'm sure there's more @gamingonlinux The touch screen interface is basically useless in desktop mode. Sure, you need a mouse and keyboard for doing lots of text or a lot of click-and-drag but as it stands, you need them for anything specific at all. @gamingonlinux @gamingonlinux I still constantly get games/apps that refuse to close and no amount of "Press B" or "Hold Steam+B" or "exit game from the game's page" make a damn difference. Need to reboot everytime. I need a proper sigkill button combination. If konsole didn't freak out so bad in gamescope mode I'd just add an htop shortcut and do it myself. @gamingonlinux having the charging port be flimsy and on top and not centered. @gamingonlinux @gamingonlinux while when mine gets to 75c there is a screen fault, but when@it cools down, It goes. but even with 5 videos and lots of information regarding the issue. They are not bothered. So Iโve had to open a claim on PayPal. At first they even said it was โnormalโ for LCDs to do it ๐๐ @gamingonlinux @gamingonlinux Better support for older games. Maybe a WinXP option in compatibility settings. Still can't get GTR2 running #simracerproblems @gamingonlinux touchscreen responsiveness @gamingonlinux When running multiple Flatpak programs at the same time in game mode, the system gets confused when you try to close one, often half-closing one of the other programs and getting stuck in the process, forcing you to reboot if you want to launch that program again. @gamingonlinux Proton saying it can't create drive_c and requiring me to copy an existing prefix @gamingonlinux would like to see a fix for games either crashing the system or glitchy sound after waking up from sleep @gamingonlinux All those cache files being on the internal storage by default. It wasn't difficult to relink them to the SD card, but with a 64GB model and a 1TB SD card it was really concerning to see how fast it filled up. Unless they already fixed it that is, because for a console player coming to PC for the first time I imagine it would put them off. @gamingonlinux I wish it would not look for steam connection when you clearly don't have an internet connection, making it take several minutes to boot a game up out and about. @gamingonlinux I can't "download all now" instead of going down to the "scheduled" section and queuing them one at a time. Also, offline games won't launch when it detects I need an update, even if it was fine before it was aware of an update. @gamingonlinux In general, it works really well. But I would appreciate more battery data. It seems to go from 10% to zero pretty fast. I would like to have a better idea of how effective a particular USBC PD is (am I charging? How fast? How many watts is this game taking?). I would like to have a battery save mode that it asks me to enable when the level gets low too. It would be sweet if it could drop the refresh rate and brightness and give me a dozen more minutes. @gamingonlinux Fix the drivers for my 3.5 mm audio jack. No sound for a couple updates @gamingonlinux If they'll never do this, I'd be happy if they put up a dialog after exiting sleep asking if I'm sure I want to resume on deck, instead of instantly kicking me from my game on my desktop. @gamingonlinux Iโve had an issue where the up/down controls reverse when Iโm scrolling through the interface since launch. Iโd love them to fix that. Also as others have said, there are games that just wonโt quit gracefully and need a reboot. Very annoying. Other than that I love mine. @gamingonlinux not a steam deck thing specifically but i would love some basic tracking of playtime for non-steam games. it just feels a bit detached to hover over these games and see them labeled as having no playtime. @gamingonlinux i got hardlocked out of my device until I was able to get wifi. Powering on while in online mode in the car disabled it and wouldnt let me sign in @gamingonlinux In desktop mode: Game Mode: Everywhere: @gamingonlinux They actually just solved my biggest annoyance which was being unable to flip ABXY system wide. Other than that, output to a display with the screen on for games with touch that you'd want to have the Deck as the controller (i.e. DS/3DS emulators) @gamingonlinux Itโs not available in #Australia โฆ Because apparently, #ValveSoftware donโt like money. ๐ | #Steam #SteamDeck @gamingonlinux nada, it's been great. maybe improved sleep time, but it's been very solid for me. @gamingonlinux nit-picky as it is the giant screen bezels. A nice OLED panel with super thin bezels would go a long way. @gamingonlinux No ability to update games with the display off, or heck, schedule the system to go into standby once the update queue is empty. Another that's less of a pet peeve and more a future model feature, variable refresh rate @gamingonlinux A nested view in game mode, so I can browse my installed games by category, though it's more of a new BPM thing than a Deck thing. @gamingonlinux an iso of SteamOS (not the old debian version) so I can install it on any gaming computer easily @gamingonlinux compatibility is still a problem. Games like No More Heroes III don't work, with none of the pre-rendered cutscenes playing. @gamingonlinux stop the battery from draining so much while itโs off leaving it around 10% one evening to find itโs completely empty the next is tedious @gamingonlinux More service than anything else: The lack of any way to report incorrect game compatibility ratings. Psychonauts on Steam Deck has a forever rotating camera, yet it's still marked as Steam Deck "Playable". It has been incorrectly displayed like that for months already. Try playing a platformer where the camera won't stop moving ever, it's literally unplayable. @gamingonlinux cloud gaming integration. Wish I could just press play and launch a game in GFN - No text note taking function in the overlay - Steam Input doesn't allow you to use anything but pre-set gyro activation buttons - Deckyloader not a native feature to encourage more plugin development despite how much of a game changer it is - Steam Input crashes lots when you load it with a lot of information - Valve needs to be proactive about pestering devs to add anticheat support and work with them instead of "just check a box lol" which isn't enough Still love it. |
@gamingonlinux
I'd love to have an option to view both Steam and Non-Steam games that are installed together in one grid, and for that to be the default in my library
